The Heart of Kent had used a brochure for the last 10 years to promote the local area as a tourist destination, this was expensive to produce, distribute and post. A web resource was identified as more economical, to increase international exposure, provide an accommodation resource, and display places of interest and events . The site was development using ASP technology offering dynamic pages for key areas, updateable by the client. The client also had the opportunity to place strategic banner advertising within certain associated sections. The site currently receives in excess of 35,000 unique user visits per year. A truly global presence has been established with individuals requesting information from Missouri to Yekaterinburg.
